TikTok's new local feed feature might be the best thing to happen to small businesses this year.
Here's why I'm excited:
We opened Izzi's Gym in Sioux Falls in March 2025. In less than a year, we've built one of the most passionate communities I've ever been part of. Customers who volunteer their time. Families who drive 45 minutes to come to tournaments. Kids who found their people here.
But that story is hard to tell to a national audience. It's *meant* to be told locally.
TikTok's local feed means our content can now reach the families in our neighborhood who don't even know we exist yet — people who would absolutely love what we've built, if they just knew to walk through the door.
Location-based discovery is the missing link between great content and local foot traffic. I'm here for it.
If you run a brick-and-mortar business, start filming. Your community is waiting to find you.
