Three years ago I petitioned TikTok for a processing-time exemption for made-to-order and print-on-demand sellers. It's finally real. TikTok Shop is rolling out Custom Handling Time — 3 to 7 days instead of the standard 2 — for sellers who make products after the order comes in. If you've ever tried to run POD on TikTok Shop, you know exactly why this matters. The old 2-day window meant you were either eating penalties on every order or stocking inventory you had no business stocking. It forced made-to-order sellers to pretend they were warehouses. This opens up a lot of business that simply wasn't viable before. Next on my wishlist: let developers build personalization apps that integrate directly into TikTok Shop. Custom names, custom text, custom art — chosen at checkout, passed straight through to the producer. That's the piece that turns TikTok Shop into a real home for customized product, not just a place to sell things that happen to be printed. One down. Who's with me on the next one? https://lnkd.in/gAsHWVm4
