My brother and my mom are the real community builders at Izzi's.
This week they ran something they invented called the Binder Showcase Contest.
The rules are simple: they give you a prompt, and you have to use the cards in your binder to embody it.
This week's prompt was "Sleeping."
25+ kids, adults, and grandmas showed up to play.
Grandma Jane was there. The kids were showing her their cards. The adults were laughing. Three generations in one room over a card game.
I can already see next week hitting 50.
This is what most retailers miss. The product gets people in the door once. The people behind the counter are why they come back.
We do things differently. And it's working because of who's doing it.
