It’s hard to believe it’s been a year since I made one of the hardest decisions of my life: stepping away from the company I dedicated 12 years to.
At the time, it felt like I was starting over.
Looking back, I wasn’t starting over. I was stepping out of a box I had outgrown.
One year later, the results speak for themselves.
I learned an entirely new industry in a matter of months.
We broke sales record after sales record and grew revenue to a level I once thought would take years longer to reach.
Using AI, I expanded what I could accomplish by 5x and shipped more than 100,000 lines of code myself.
I built apps, websites, and intelligence tools I never would have dreamed possible.
Thousands of customers have walked through our doors, and most come back every week.
We threw an event attended by more than 10,000 people.
And with a team of only three people, we sold more than $3 million online.
Why was this possible?
Not because I suddenly became capable.
I had always been capable.
The difference was having the freedom to execute, the ownership to make decisions, and positive people around me who shared the same goal.
Sometimes you aren’t the problem.
Sometimes you’ve simply outgrown the room.
One year later, I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built.
No regrets. And we’re just getting started.
