Yesterday was One Piece EB03 release day.
Lines out the door before we even opened. One of the most sought-after sets we've seen.
We sold out. But not the way you might think.
The vast majority went straight to our community — the regulars who show up every week, compete in tournaments, and keep this game alive. And we made sure to save some for brand new players who had never played before. The only catch: they had to swear on the box they'd come back next week and actually play. 😄
We're a Silver-tier Bandai store working our way to Gold — and honestly, that's because of them. Our community is competitive, passionate, and doing everything they can to help us get there. We don't take that lightly.
Here's the thing most stores miss: collectors are incredible, and we love them. But collectors follow hype — and hype fades. Players show up every single week. They bring friends. They grow the game. They're the reason One Piece is still thriving years from now.
We want to be a store that earns the trust of publishers like Bandai by putting the health of the game first — always.
Does Target think about that? Does Walmart hold a box for a first-time player and personally invest in whether they come back?
That's the difference between a store that sells trading cards and a store that actually cares about the game.
We're building something longer than a launch day.
