My Little Pony is becoming a trading card game.
And it's not what you think.
This isn't a collectible product for nostalgia.
It's a full TCG. Deck construction. Head-to-head strategy. Organized competitive play.
Drops May 1st.
Here's what makes it different:
→ You win by progressing a story, not dealing damage. Four story stages. Each tied to a moment from the animated series. First to Story IV wins. There's no analog for this mechanic in any mainstream TCG.
→ The complexity curve is actually smart. Structural DNA closest to Magic. Accessibility closer to a beginner game. Experienced players won't be bored. New players won't be lost.
→ The collector case is legitimate. RR rarity cards feature original alternate art, commissioned directly from Hasbro's in-house artists. Not reprints. Not reskins. Created exclusively for this game.
→ Kayou's production quality backs it up. Foil layering. Premium finish. Tactile cards that feel as good as they look.
The IP is multigenerational.
The gameplay is original.
This is the one to watch in 2026.
