"Adversity causes some men to break; others to break records." William Arthur Ward We opened Izzi's Gym in March of last year. Here's what nobody tells you about building South Dakota's biggest card shop from nothing: the good days are easy. Product lands, the line's out the door, the team's firing on all cylinders. Anyone can run a shop on a day like that. It's the other days. The shipment that doesn't show. The launch you hyped that hits a snag. The TCGplayer dispute that lands right when you're slammed on the floor. The 6am problem nobody else wants to touch. No applause, no post, just you, your brother, and a mess to clean up before the doors open at 10. We've had plenty of those days. And every single one of them is the reason we crossed $4M in our first year instead of folding in month three. Same pressure cracks one shop and builds another. The difference isn't luck. It's who decides to break records instead of breaking. We're building something here. Bad days and all.
