I built a chatbot for Izzi's Gym and I'm kind of obsessed with it.
It connects to our live card buying inventory AND our Square POS in real time — so when a customer asks "do you have Surging Sparks in stock?" it actually knows the answer instead of guessing.
The nerdy term for this is RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) — basically instead of the AI making stuff up, it looks up the real answer first, then responds. Groundbreaking concept: don't lie to customers.
The part I'm most proud of though? If the bot isn't 99% confident in an answer, it escalates directly to me. A chatbot that knows what it doesn't know is worth 10x one that confidently makes things up.
It's not ready to release yet — still too dumb in a few areas. But we're close.
The goal: handle all of Izzi's customer service so our team can focus on what actually matters — being present with our community in the store.
Vibe coding is wild. A card shop in Sioux Falls shouldn't be able to build this. Here we are. 🤷
