Friendship Is Magic opens with a legend: two royal sisters who raised the sun and the moon together, until one was banished for a thousand years.
Kayou built that legend into Fantasy Wonderland and barely told anyone.
Every Shining Emerald Rare in the set depicts a Mane 6 home under one of two skies — Celestia's daytime or Luna's starlit night. Only the Mane 6 homes get this treatment. Not the base Emerald Rares. Not Canterlot. Just the six residences that define the Mane 6's Equestria, rendered under both sisters' domains.
It's the kind of design choice a team makes when they've actually watched the show. And when you look at the common story cards — "Party of One," "Suited for Success," "Over a Barrel" — all broken into four-stage narrative arcs from specific Season 1 episodes, it's clear this wasn't an accident.
Twelve cards. Six locations. Two skies. One legend.
