Did you know Weird Al made a Pokémon song? Back in 2000, "Weird Al" Yankovic contributed "Polkamon" to the Pokémon: The Movie 2000 soundtrack. It's one of the ending themes for The Power of One Bulbapedia and it's exactly what you'd expect from Al — a parody of the PokéRap that appeared at the end of every episode during the first season, Fandom but set to a polka beat. The song rattles off Pokémon names over accordion music, includes the classic line "try not to step on little Pikachu," and mentions Ditto twice Fandom — probably a nod to the copying Pokémon's whole deal. Al actually wanted to include "Polkamon" on his Medium Rarities album years later, but couldn't get permission from The Pokémon Company — so the movie soundtrack remains the only official home for it. If you were a kid in 2000, there's a good chance this song is buried somewhere in your memory. Go look it up. https://lnkd.in/gwxeXeWT
